Since she founded this law firm, Marcy L. Colkitt has believed in providing sophisticated legal counsel to all her clients. Our experience includes advising sales of businesses of over $100 million, assisting the construction of numerous elder care facilities, bringing economic development to our communities, - recovering millions of dollars for clients in insurance recovery, medical malpractice, and business tort cases, and fighting for policyholders who suffered from insurance bad faith and prevailing for before the state Supreme Court in Allstate Prop. & Cas. Ins. Co. v. Wolfe, 105 A.3d 1181 (Pa. 2014).

After graduating from the University of Pennsylvania Law School in 1988 Marcy began her career as a litigator at Reed Smith Shaw & McClay in Pittsburgh, Pa. She then became general counsel to a public healthcare company. In the course of her thirty-year legal career, she has litigated cases across the country. That includes deep involvement with radiation oncology centers, skilled nursing facilities and other medical businesses. In 1992, she founded the Colkitt Law Firm.

She has advised business owners on the purchase or sale of over 150 businesses, most of them in the health care sector. Her experience as a business owner herself gives her a unique advantage.

She has been involved in elder care for thirty years, and is passionate about it. In recent years, she has spearheaded the development of luxury personal care homes in Pennsylvania, beginning with The Fountains at Indiana, LLC. In 2024, The Fountains at DuBois Luxury Senior Care LLC opened and she continues to develop new sites in Western and Central Pennsylvania.

Andrew has broad civil litigation experience in trial and appellate courts, and has appeared in state or federal courts in six states. He has represented individuals and businesses in more than a dozen cases with $1 million or more at stake.

Andrew has also advised businesses on transactions, governmental relations, insurance claims, land use, commercial landlord-tenant relations, and regulatory compliance.
