After graduating from the University of Pennsylvania Law School in 1988 Marcy began her career as a litigator at Reed Smith Shaw & McClay in Pittsburgh, Pa. She then became general counsel to a public healthcare company. In the course of her thirty-year legal career, she has litigated cases across the country. That includes deep involvement with radiation oncology centers, skilled nursing facilities and other medical businesses. In 1992, she founded the Colkitt Law Firm.

She has advised business owners on the purchase or sale of over 150 businesses, most of them in the health care sector. Her experience as a business owner herself gives her a unique advantage.

 

She has been involved in elder care for thirty years, and is passionate about it. In recent years, she has spearheaded the development of luxury personal care homes in Pennsylvania, beginning with The Fountains at Indiana, LLC. In 2024, The Fountains at DuBois Luxury Senior Care LLC opened and she continues to develop new sites in Western and Central Pennsylvania.

Andrew represents health care clients and businesses. He has broad civil litigation experience in trial and appellate courts, and has appeared in state or federal courts in six states.  He has represented individuals and businesses in more than a dozen cases with $1 million or more at stake.

Andrew advises businesses on transactions, governmental relations, insurance claims, land use, commercial landlord-tenant relations, and regulatory compliance.

​

He has represented a wide spectrum of clients, including  executors, injured people, executives, school districts, business owners, radiation oncology centers, and elder care facilities.
